Established in 2010, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) has evolved into a premier centre for technical education, with an approved intake of 60 students. To keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital landscape, the department has introduced a multidisciplinary minor in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. This forward-looking curriculum is supported by modern infrastructure, including ICT- enabled smart classrooms, seven well-equipped computer laboratories, and a dedicated departmental library, creating an environment that promotes academic excellence and research. The department strongly emphasizes industry readiness and practical exposure. Through strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industries and institutions, students benefit from expert talks, industrial visits, workshops, and certification programs. This industry–academia collaboration is further strengthened through a Project-Based Learning (PBL) culture and various student technical clubs. Students are actively encouraged to participate in prestigious national-level platforms such as Smart India Hackathon and Avishkar. Beyond technical excellence, the department focuses on holistic development and personalized mentoring through its Teacher Guardian (TG) Scheme. The departmental student association, CORE, plays a vital role in organizing technical events, competitions, and exhibitions that enhance leadership, teamwork, and technical skills. Guided by a dedicated team of experienced and dynamic faculty members, the department has achieved an excellent placement record, with students consistently securing opportunities in leading multinational companies such as Capgemini, TCS, Cognizant, and LTIMindtree.
