Institutional Distinctiveness

In accordance with its Vision and Mission, NBNSCOE has taken a unique initiative by establishing the Centre for Research and Technology Development (CRTD) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S. H. Pawar, Former Vice Chancellor and Emeritus Scientist.

CRTD monitors and promotes Research, Innovation and Technology Development through active involvement of faculty members and students.

Major Research Initiatives

1. DST Sponsored Research Project

NBNSCOE received a research grant of ₹33.30 Lakhs from Department of Science & Technology (DST) for the project:

"A Novel Approach Developing Silver Iodide Embedded Silica Aerogels Seeding Material for Cloud Seeding Application (SIESA)"

The project has been successfully completed and submitted to DST.

2. UG Research Scholar Scheme

A unique initiative called UG Research Scholar provides undergraduate students an opportunity to work on frontier technologies using a multidisciplinary approach.

NBNSCOE developed a fully automated Organic Farming System at Kondi village which automates:

  • Water Lifting
  • Tank Storage
  • Jivamrut Preparation
  • Filtration System
  • Drip Irrigation Automation

The project was appreciated by Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and received a grant of ₹50,000 from ATMA Solapur.

  • Submitted ₹3.2 Crore STI Hub Proposal to DST.
  • Submitted ₹51 Lakh BIRAC Proposal for Ayurvedic Drug Research.

  • Organized UGCON-2023 research conference for undergraduate students.

Unique Initiative – CAIPEEX Project

NBNSCOE signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune under the Ministry of Earth Sciences for the Cloud Aerosol Interaction and Precipitation Enhancement Experiment (CAIPEEX).
